Barcelona Mar

Barcelona Mar is placed in the heart of Barcelona's Raval neighborhood, a multicultural, vivacious and trendy area close to the museum of Contemporary Art and many other attractive galleries. We are 10 minutes from Plaça Catalunya (Barcelona's main square) and 10 minutes from the famous Ramblas.

The good spots of the city are walking distance: Picasso Museum, Gaudi's unique and gorgeous houses, The Cathedral, the Gothic neighborhood, the bohemian born area, even the beaches and the harbor!!

At Barcelona Mar you can reserve:
- Twin rooms. These rooms are not at the same building that the Hostel but they are on the same street. The twin roms have the linen included.
- Dorm beds. Our rooms are mixed and shared, from 6 to 16 beds. Breakfast and locker are included in the price. Linen and towels, if needed, can be rented at the reception.
Reception desk is open 24 hours and the Hostel too. Of course, there is also a laundry room and a main hall with TV set, internet access and a nice area to chill and meet other travelers! The travelers are also invited to use the kitchen free of use open from 11:00 to 23:00.

There are cool and great activities you can do from the Youth Hostel: a fantastic Pub Crawl (Nightlife, discounted drinks, instant friends, coolest bars of the moment).
Tapas Tour (Then get on a guided tour of traditional tapas bars, Spanish culinary vocabulary in each bar with a glass of wine).

Bicycle Tours, Roller Tours, Go-Karting, Kayak, Paintball and much more...

But the best of our Hostel is the staff. Young and friendly people always ready to help you and make you feel like at home.

Important note for bookings:

Cancellation policy is 24 hours. You can cancel your booking the day before you arrive before 12 mid-day. If not you have to pay for the first night and the rest of the booking is cancelled.

If you wish to cancel your reservation, you need to send an email. We do not accept cancellations by phone.

The Hostel is open 24 hours and the reception also, so you can check in at any time from 12 am. If you are going to arrive later than 23.00 we would appreciate if you send us an email confirming your arrival time.

Directions

The neighborhood “El Raval", just 5 minutes from Las Ramblas. The most important thing is to arrive at the metro stops Liceu or Paral-lel, both on the green line or line 3 of the metro. As you can see on the map, Liceu and Paral-lel are the metro stops that you should use.

When Arriving From:
A- Barcelona Airport or Sants Station (train & buses): Coming from the BarcelonaAirport you must catch the train. There is only one train which is called RENFE. Take it to Sants Station: Barcelona’s central station. Once you are there you need to get the metro system. Catch the green line in the direction of Canyelles and get off at the Paral-lel station.

B - Girona Airport or Estació del Nord (buses): If you are coming from the Girona Airport , you need to take the bus that brings you to the city of Barcelona/ to the Estació del Nord. This is a 1 hour and 15 minute long trip. Once you are in la Estació del Nord, you will find the red line of the metro (Arc de Triumph Stop). You need to take it to Plaça Catalunya where you change lines. From Placa Catalunya you take the green line direction of Zona Universitaria and get off at Liceu or Paral-lel.

*Recommendations or suggestions:
1. Going to the Barcelona Mar Hostel we suggest you get off at the metro stop Paral-el, and take the exit Ronda Sant Pau. Once you are in the street you will find the beginning of el Carrer Sant Pau. Be careful because the street called Ronda Sant Pau begins at the same corner, so don’t get confused.

2. Get off at the metro stop Liceu and just when you are in front of the exit, right next to the Theatre Liceu, is where the Street Sant Pau begins. Walk down it, and within five minutes you will find us.
