1. Walk and discover Las Ramblas
Get started at Pça Catalunya and walk down the most famous Street in Barcelona. You'll find on your way important buildings, such as the Gran Teatre del Liceu (Barcelona's opera), the Palau de la Virreina or the Boqueria Market. We suggest you enter, especially the Boqueria, a unique show of life, color and bustle! A special tip ... even though it's normally crowded, take a Tapa at the Pinocho, the Boqueria market bar, praised by catalan chefs as Ferran Adria or Santi Santamaria.
2. The Modernist Route
Barcelona is modernism, a splendid architecture style that emerged in the late nineteenth century. You will find buildings of great beauty, style, luxury, fantasy, symbolism and color. The three houses of the "apple of discord" in the Passeig de Gracia, or the buildings at the Example's streets Consell de Cent and Arago. At the Ciutat Vella quartier, you'll find the incomparable Palau de la Musica Catalana, the Parc de la Ciutadella, the building of the Museu de Ciències Naturals i Zoologia. And of course, the Sagrada Familia, Gaudi's unfinished legacy.
3. Go shopping!
Barcelona is full of shops. Wherever you go or visit you'll find interesting places to find clothes, books, food products, footwear ... You'll find big & little stores for all budgets: flea markets like Els Encants, Sant Antoni or Mercantic; trendy designer little ateliers at the Borne; or the most famous brands shops in the Diagonal or Passeig de Gracia . Wherever you go, in Barcelona you'll always find stores to buy what you need.
4. Discover Montjuic & Barcelona Harbour
In Montjuïc you'll find museums such as the Fundació Miró, the Museu d'Arqueologia, or the MNAC. The area of the Olympic Ring, center stage of the Olympic Games are the Lluís Companys Stadium and the Palau Sant Jordi, designed by Arata Izosaki. At Montjuic's feet, Barcelona Harbour Port Vell, in front of the Columbus monument. Take a "Golondrina", a small boat that will take you through the waters of the Port Vell. On one Port Vells side, you'll find the XIV century building Reials Drassanes, the Maritime Museum of Barcelona.
