Cadiz with 3,000 years of history, is the southernmost capital in Europe. It's a real seafaring city of light. Divided into two different cities by the walls of the "Puertas de la Tierra", that separate the modern part from the old one, it is a city of narrow white streets, small squares and local colored places: a must see are "La Viña", a former fishing village where you can taste the famous fried fish, some neighborhoods as "Mentidero" or "Santa Maria", the true home of flamenco, the Plaza de San Juan de Dios, or the area of "medieval village".

Cadiz owns a historic old town where you'll find the main monuments and the archaeological museum, one of the most visited in the city. The widest city shopping area, is also located at the old town, ideal for shopping of all kinds of stuff you may need.

The modern area of Cadiz is filled with modern buildings, wide avenues and the Paseo Marítimo, that runs along the the magnificent beaches of Victoria, Santa Maria del Mar and Cortadura. You'll find there many shopping centers, yacht clubs, the Cadiz football stadium and many sports facilities.
