The hostel:
We have completely restored a traditional Andalusian townhouse that was once a blacksmith's shop, where people brought their horses to be shoed.
Now the home has been thought for and adapted for all you may need while travelling: a fully-equipped kitchen, computers for your use, wi-fi in the entire building, an elevator, a small bar with the best Mojitos in history… and even a beautiful terrace, the best place to meet other travellers, have breakfast, read a book, or eat a good barbecue!
We have a place to keep your luggage safe on check-out day. Breakfast and-obviously- sheets are included in the price.
Apart from this, we also have free maps of the city, games, and the best information and recommendations on Cádiz.
Rooms:
Our rooms all have bathrooms en-suite and comprise 10 or 12 beds. However, they are so spacious that you will think you are sleeping in a dorm room of four to six beds. In fact, all the rooms are divided by a wall in the room itself.
The security lockers are large, the beds new and comfortable, and cleaning is of utmost importance to us. You can rest assured that you will never have a bad surprise.
We have hair dryers and reading lights if you need them.
Activities:
We collaborate with various companies in the city so that you can benefit from the best prices if you want to practice activities such as scuba diving, mountain excursions, kite and wind surf, horse-riding, parachuting, etc…
But from the hotel we too organize activities such as the free walking tour. Our guide is in love with Cádiz and we hope he transmits his passion. You will also be able to try the Made in Spain “nightlife tour”, or the excursions we go on every day to the most beautiful beaches of the Cádiz coast…

Apart from Spanish, our team speaks a variety of languages, some better than others…
You will find one of our staff 24-hours a day for whatever you may need.

The Melting Pot hostel is located right in the center of the heart Cádiz, to be precise in the popular neighborhood of “La Viña” (The Vine), famous for the monuments and churches it features. It is the nightlife and leisure section of the town. There are many typical restaurants with flamenco, traditional bars, and pubs very close to the hotel. The best shopping streets of Cádiz are also here; fashion, arts and crafts, antiquities… The town's characteristic narrow streets will make it seem like you are walking in a medieval city… and, of course, the “Mercado Central de Abastos”, the antique central town market, just 50 meters from the hotel, an outstanding destination where you will be able to find any type of product. From the “Torre Tavira” on the street just behind us, you will have panoramic 360-degree views of all of Cádiz. The “Plaza Mina” just 100 meters away, a place to meet for those who like to dance salsa. This is where the best Cuban music bars are situated… The neighborhood of “La Viña” is also the old fishermen's neighborhood, the place where the best tapas are found, and still today you will find fishmongers selling right on the street. For its part, the one and only true beach of Cádiz: “La Caleta”, is there for you to relax or take in some sun, just a ten-minute walk away, at an easy pace...
In short, this is probably objectively the best location possible for the visitor. You will be surrounded by all of what Cádiz has to offer.
