Room description / How many, types, information, facilites?

In our hostel, you can find a fully-equipped kitchen, internet-info room, dinner room, chill-out area and a nice terrace with views over most parts of Granada. We have private rooms with/without bathroom ensuite 2-3-4 or 5 persons. In the penthouse you can find all the common areas and a rooftop terrace.

Location / Whats nearby / local attractions?

El Clandestino is situated in a restored building very close to the Arco Elvira and C/ Elvira street. It has nine private rooms with/without bathroom ensuite, for 2-3-4 or 5 people. In the guesthouse you can find all the common areas and a rooftop terrace with incredible views of the city and the granadien fertile plain.

The Clandestino is a new hostel located in Mirador de Rolando street nº16, on the lowest part of the Albaizyn quarter, close to Jardines del Triunfo square, Puerta Elvira, Gran Via and Avd Constitución. You can access the markets, pharmacy, hospital, and commercials areas very easily. Calle Elvira has plenty of bars for tapas and great nightlife. The bus stop in Parque Del Triunfo goes to the train or bus station, airport and almost any point of Granada.

Directions

From Bus and Train Station:

Take bus nº 3 or 33 and get off at “Jardines del Triunfo” stop (Triunfo Gardens). You will see a big Spanish flag and the gardens behind. Take Hospicio Av just to the side of the park, go ahead until the end (the park will be on your left and you will pass “Hospital Real”). Follow the road until you get to “Real de Cartuja” street. Head forward and take the first road on your right, “Cuesta de San Antonio” street (there is a Tatoo Shop on the corner). At the beginning of Cuesta de San Antonio you will see a big staircase. Go up and you will come to our street “Calle Mirador de Rolando”. We are on the left hand side, number 16. Most people does confuse our street with a series of large cottage houses at the top of the hill, so if asking for directions tell them either “Real de Cartuja” or “Cuesta de San Antonio” otherwise they might lead you to the hill top cottage houses.

From Train Station, walking:

Get to the main road “Gran Via de Colon” Head towards city center (Cathedral). When you get to a square with a big Spanish flag you will be at “Jardines del Triunfo” (a big garden area). From here, follow the directions as given above.

Alternatively you can take a taxi.

Weird story here... ending with a huge thumbs up for this place. I booked here only to get an email the next day saying they were sorry but they were actually full. 3 weeks later when I actually arrived in Granada, I accidently checked the wrong email upon arrival and ended up coming here instead of the place I actually was booked to stay. Maria was SO HELPFUL! She brought us in, tried calling the place we were supposed to stay to confirm our reservation there (since I speak very little Spanish) and to get directions. When she couldn't get a hold of them at first, she brought us up to their balcony/terrace where she offered us drinks and let us use their internet while we waited / relaxed out of the heat for about an hour. I'm so impressed, I will definitely try to stay here again when I return to Granada.
