Granada is one of the favorite destinations for spanish and foreign young students. Nights  are alive, animated and bustling. With its university population,  that at dusk goes out for tapas and some drinks, Granada's nights are cosmopolitan, open and wild.

A great start to the evening, after a hard day’s backpacking around the city, is taking a cup of tea on the Calle Caldería, Granada’s engaging (but not authentic) street of Moorish tearooms and rug shops.

When the sun goes down, people come out to dance and enjoy the fresh air of the city. Note that the night in Granada starts normally after 11 pm, after some delicious tapas or dinner.

Bars are full of Granada people at night, wether they're city's students or simply visitors or tourists
. Normally, the night route includes three to four different bars and even different areas.

The Granada main night areas are Pedro Antonio de Alarcón, the prefered area for young people. Bars, pubs and live music.

Calle Elvira, some more fashion and trendy selective bars, probably a dress appropriately required.

The city Center - the Gran Via, Paseo de los Tristes and Plaza Nueva area-, bars located at the  Alhambra's foot, smooth lights and older people.

If you are looking simply for fun, near the Plaza de Toros you'll find the best discos in Granada. And If this is not enough, go to the outskirts of Granada, there are some huge discos, where the night never ends!
