1. The Alhambra… Of course!

World Heritage Site, the Alhambra and the Generalife Gardens are one of the most visited monuments in the world, more than eight thousand people a day, and along with the Mezquita of Cordoba, represents the zenith of Arabic Art. You should buy your ticket in advance!

2. ... and the Albayzin too

The old Arabic and Moorish quarter of Granada is an emblematic maze of white streets on a hill. Baroque style churches, Renaissance palaces and Arabic minarets build a microcosm in which each step will make you admire all the of cultures and influences that the city has received throughout the centuries.

3. The Arabic Baths -Bañuelo-

Impressive and very well preserved Arabic baths built in the eleventh century, also known as Aammim Alyawza. Located in the Carrera del Darro, at the foot of the Alhambra, you'll notice how exquisite Spanish and Arabic people were a thousand years ago.

4. The Cartuja

About two miles from downtown, this monastery was founded by order of Gonzalo Fernandez de Cordoba, the Great Captain, on an ancient Arabic garden. It has a magnificent XVII century baroque church and a beautiful cloister.

5. Free things to do in Granada

Tapas! Almost every bar in Granada will offer you a tapa with your beer. The biggest tapas, at the bars along c/Elvira. The most trendy, at the bars along c/Navas.
