The hostel was extremely clean and well kept. The staff was so helpful - we needed a cab at 6.30am (but the cab company wasn´t taking reservations) so a staff member actually woke up at 6 to call a cab for us (even though he wasn´t on shift and the hostel reception did not open until 8am). The entire hostel is relatively small and quiet, but a great place to stay if you are looking for a good place to sleep.

So clean and everything is brand new..only drawback is the 3 person bunk beds - I woke up one night and smacked my head on the bunk above because it was so low..Owner was also very helpful - I was sick and he wrote out my symptoms in Spanish so I could go to the doctor. Great place for a relaxing break from crazy, party hostels.

Weird story here... ending with a huge thumbs up for this place. I booked here only to get an email the next day saying they were sorry but they were actually full. 3 weeks later when I actually arrived in Granada, I accidently checked the wrong email upon arrival and ended up coming here instead of the place I actually was booked to stay. Maria was SO HELPFUL! She brought us in, tried calling the place we were supposed to stay to confirm our reservation there (since I speak very little Spanish) and to get directions. When she couldn't get a hold of them at first, she brought us up to their balcony/terrace where she offered us drinks and let us use their internet while we waited / relaxed out of the heat for about an hour. I'm so impressed, I will definitely try to stay here again when I return to Granada.

This is honestly one of the best hostels I have ever stayed at! It is really new so everything is clean and nice. The staff is wonderful- loads of fun and really helpful! The facilities are great, well equipped kitchen, working wifi, clean bathrooms, and the rooftop terrace is great for hanging out, meeting people, and sharing a few drinks. I would stay here again in a heartbeat!

I really cannot express how wonderful my stay at Makuto was. I would recommend this to anyone. When I first arrived, they showed me around and I immediantly wanted to make another reservation. I was sad to hear it was full but then later on there was an opening and they made room for me. I was very hungry when I came here and so Marta taught me and some other people here how to make Spanish tortilla and treated us to it at her own expense. They make some dishes here for purchase and it´s better priced than most restaurants and if you don´t want to eat here, they recommend places that have good prices and are local. There are instruments to use and movies to watch, a chill room, and the coffee is really good (always a plus). Lots of really nice people and staff, it truely feels like home. When the room wasn´t available to me for the extra day when Makuto was full, one of thestaff members even offered to let me stay at their house. Amazing experience. The place is located pretty central although it has a little bit of a climb up a small hill. Alhambra is close as well as other great places to see with great views. Very easy to find, which is great for travelers not used to the Spanish style narrow streets. They helped me with my Spanish and were able to speak many other languages to other guests. Absolutely loved it. I came alone without expectations and left with gaining new friends and great memories. Thanks so much, Makuto!

Loved this hostel! Would definitely go back and recommend it to others as well. Great location and probably the best staff of any hostel we´ve stayed in. Only small points: the internet is very slow and often unreliable and our room didn´t have a fridge even though the website says all rooms have fridges. Otherwise, the place was totally awesome!

I was so happy with my stay at Pension Goiko. The room was lovely, and it is in a great location. The staff are very friendly and gave great advice on what to do in the city. I will definitely recommend Pension Goiko to anyone who visits San Sebastian!

Leo was an awesome host. The apartment we stayed in was in an excellent location. We could look out from the balcony and see the surfer's beach. We met so many great people, would easily recommend it for solo travellers wanting to meet people as it is almost like a share house and everyone is alot more comfortable in the surroundings. Not recommened for people wanting to relax and wanting peace and quiet , everything is go go go. All the good bars and clubs are in a 10 minute walking radius of the apartments. Am already planning my next stay here!

Watch out: Russian dictatorship in Donostia!! Unexpected behaviour and very strict rules like if you were in the army!! Of course I respect rules to keep the place quiet, clean and safe for everyone, but this was just way too much!! The location is perfect, but beaware of the building site just in front of the hostel which is not mentioned anywhere on the www. Do not expect any sea-view, but the sea is just a few steps away. Perfectly clean and safe, but boring rules to respect like nowhere else on holidays!! After begging, I was let to leave the luggage during the day, but when I came to pick it up, I was not let to use the wc, horrible!! So, do not expect to be warmly welcomed, you will rather meet dictatorship by Russians in the center of beautiful San Sebastian!
