‘Hostal El Pilar’ in Madrid is just 50 meters from the Puerta Del Sol!
This recently renovated family hotel in Madrid has 38 double and single rooms, fully equipped bathrooms, heating, climate control, WI-FI and safe boxes. Established in 1967, this cosy family hotel is situated in one of the best areas in Madrid!
Our hotel has the capacity to accommodate 66 guests distributed over 10 single rooms and 28 double rooms which can be adapted with extra beds. The hotel has an elevator and a lounge with television, from which you can hear the ringing of the bell tower on the Puerta del Sol.
At the reception there are cold drinks and coffee available.
Always paying attention to detail, the rooms are spacious, bright and some have views of the Carretas street and the Puerta Del Sol. All rooms have fully equipped bathrooms, climate control and are equipped with television, telephones, WIFI and a safe box.
The rooms are cleaned daily, there is a laundry service and free luggage room during the departure day.

Directions
*From the airport: you can arrive at the hostel by taxi or by subway, taking it in Aeropuerto station (line 8) until Mar de Cristal. Here you change to line 4 until Goya and finally here, you change to line 2 until Sol, that is our station.
*From Chamartin train station: you can arrive by taxi, by bus (number 5) or by subway, from Chamartin station (line 1) until Sol station.
*From Atocha train station: you can arrive by taxi, by bus (numbers 26 or 32 until you reach Jacinto Benavente square) or by subway, from Atocha Renfe station (line 1) until Sol.
*From Mendez Alvaro bus station: you can arrive at the hostel by taxi or by subway, from Mendez Alvaro station (line 6) until Pacifico; here you change to line 1 until you reach Sol.
