Hostel One Centro is a brand new hostel run by young and friendly staff (Bruno and Juli) who know exactly how to help you enjoy your trip, as we're travelers too.

We're located on a pedestrian centric street, two blocks away from Sol main square, within walking distance to most of Madrid sightseeing spots. The area is full of shops, typical bars and nightclubs.

There are 6 computers with 24 hour free Internet for you to keep in touch and plan your next trips. There's also Wi-Fi.

There's a guest kitchen, fully equipped, for you to make your own meals, very useful for those traveling on a budget. A big supermarket is located 50 meters from the hostel.

There's also a DVD library, comfy couches, common areas and a warm atmosphere for you to meet new friends and have a good time.

Please note that reception works from 9:00 am till 10:00 pm. so if you're arriving later than that, be sure to state it on your booking or to contact us.

Directions

Once you arrive at the airport take the metro (Pink line 8, direction Nuevos Ministerios) get off in Mar de Cristal where you will need to transfer to the brown line (4). Take this in the direction of Arguelles, get off in Goya. From Goya, take the red line in the direction of Cuatro Caminos and get off at Sol.

When arriving by train (metro Atocha or Chamartin) take the blue line (1) in the direction of Plaza de Castilla to Sol.
If you arrive by bus (Avenida America metro stop) take take the grey line (6) in the direction of 'Manuel Becerra' and change there to the red line (2). Go in the direction of 'Cuatro Caminos' and get off at metro stop Sol. If you arrive at the south bus stop, (metro Mendez Alvaro) catch the grey line (6) in the direction of Moncloa and transfer to the red line (2) at Pacifico. From there, take the blue line (1) in the direction of Plaza de Castilla and get off at the Sol metro stop.

When you arrive to the Sol metro station, take exit (salida) for 'Carmen.' When you exit, Puerta del Sol will be on your right hand side and a large building with a neon sign that says 'Tio Pepe' will be in front of you. Turn to your left and walk along Calle Carmen, walk four blocks on this street (Calle el Carmen), and then you will find the hostel on your right handside at number 16. The main entrance is a big brown door situated between a bag store and a shoe shop. We are situated on the third floor (there is no elevator).

Staff was a lot of fun and helpful. met a lot of great people in a very chill atmosphere. as central as you can get for madrid. other than a cold shower once in a while, this place is perfect
