Getting Around

Sevilla Airport is about 25 minutes away from the city center. There's an all day bus service running about every 30 minutes-1 hour from outside the arrivals hall.

There are two Sevilla Buses Stations from those who travel to Sevilla by bus from other cities: The Plaza de Armas Station and The Prado de San Sebastian Station. And the train station of Santa Justa is located to the north of the city.

The best way to discover Sevilla is walking. Its historic quarter is one of the largest in Spain, and has recently being restored and remodeled, being now a pedestrian area at its most part.

The Historic Quarter of Seville main emblematic buildings that can be visited walking are the Cathedral and the Torre del Oro, and districts such as Santa Cruz and Triana. Other interesting areas as the Murallas or the Parque de Maria Luisa are a bit away, but it's worth taking a walk and enjoy the city to visit them.

Another option is the Sevilla Metro -the underground-, recently opened in Sevilla. Currently only has one line running along the most important parts of the city from the area of the Expo 92 to Montequinto, through the city center and connecting the buses and trams networks.

Another good idea for Spain budget travelers is biking around the city. Seville has many miles of bike lanes. The City Council offers a bicycle hire service, and city tours and guided tours are also organized. You can get more information at tourist information offices in the city.

There's a wide number of public bus lines,  connecting the historic center with all the other quarters of the city. Buses are decorated with the colors of the flag of Seville,  red and old gold. You'll get more information about the bus service at the Puerta Jerez, Plaza de la Encarnación, Prado de San Sebastian, Puerta Osario, Barqueta and Gran Plaza stops.
