Nightlife
Sevilla nightlife offers variety, quality, magic and happiness.
Tapas is a must when starting your route. We recommend a walk through the Santa Cruz or Arenal area, full of typically andalusian corners, just to enjoy both its flavor and food tasting.
You will find across the city many bars and taverns full of charm and a wonderful atmosphere, they're crowded in the early hours of the night.
There are in Sevilla different nightlife areas such as the Barrio de la Alfalfa or the Alameda, with small size bars where you can have a beer on the street feeling the heartbeat of the city. At Alameda's friendly bars it's possible to have a drink until late at night surrouded by the most "underground" Sevilla's culture. You'll find there many outdoor terraces where to have a good drink.
The Triana quarter is a must for visitors. Triana is the birthplace of flamenco, is full of small local tablaos playing live flamenco music. Often late in the night spectators and visitors dare to go on stage and sing or play a few flamenco. From early in the evening you can enjoy a cool beer or a glass of "Agua de Sevilla" (a Seville drink made of whisky, cognac and pineapple juice).
Both sides of the Guadalquivir River, from the Parque Maria Luisa, to Barqueta, are full of bars and terraces in the summer. From early June until September, Sevilla nightlife moves form the downtown to the river's area. Full of bars and dance clubs, you can enjoy the night until the the sun comes out. Crossing out the river you'll find the area of La Isla de la Cartuja, with the largest Sevilla's dance clubs and discos, that remain open throughout the whole year and not only during the summer.
Finally if you visit Sevilla in April, enjoy the the Feria de Abril, the biggest event in Andalucia. Thousands of people move to Remedios quarter, and Sevilla explodes into lights, flamenco dresses, manzanilla and bullfighting ...
