Getting Around

Valencia Airport  -Manises- is only six miles away from the city center. There's a public bus service from the airport to Turia Station every 10 minutes and it takes about 30-40 minutes to reach its destination.  Local trains also run every 20 minutes toward the center.

Walking is a good answer to how to get around Valencia. Valencia is a comfortable city to walk specially if you want to discover the historical center. Most of the monuments are located at the city center, so they can be visited walking. Another option is to rent a bike, you'll find the city has many bike lanes across center and the gardens of the Turia. BicisValencia (www.bicisvalencia.com) rents bikes for 2 € a day, or 1.50 € for six hours.

Valencia's metro is also an interesting option, which runs from 5.30 until 00.00 every day, covering the most important streets and reaching the harbour and Valencia's beach, Malvarrosa. A single ticket is € 1.40, and a round trip, € 2.40. The Bonometro includes 10 trips and the price is € 6.50.

City buses are another available service and a good idea for those who want to discover the other areas of the city. They run from 4.30 am to 22.45 pm (depending on the route). There's also a night bus running every day from 23.00 to 2.30 pm. Ticket prices: single ticket € 1.25,  can only be purchased on the bus. 10 trips cards (Bonobús): 6 €. Metro & Bus cards (T-1 T-2 and T3), unlimited travel for 1, 2 or three days. Price: between 3.50 and € 8.60 (can only be used by one traveller).
